Building a Unified Identity for Alaska’s Leading Construction Group

Longhouse partnered with Heritage Contracting to build a unified brand system and modern website that reflect the company’s growth, values, and reputation. The new identity brings clarity across divisions and strengthens their presence across Alaska.

Meet Heritage Contracting

Heritage Contracting is a well-established construction firm based in Alaska with over two decades of experience in commercial construction, remote infrastructure, and complex logistics.

Known for its reliability and problem-solving approach, Heritage works closely with government agencies and municipalities across some of the most rugged environments in the state. As their operation grew into multiple divisions, they needed a brand that reflected their scale while staying true to the core values that built their reputation.

Our Solution

Despite their size and legacy, Heritage had never undergone a full branding process. Their existing website was in need of an update and didn’t clearly communicate the scope of their services or highlight their growing list of subcompanies.

With divisions like Heritage Rocks & Services, Heritage Networks, and Heritage Capital now in place, they needed a visual design system.

We designed a visual system that brings structure, clarity, and professionalism across all brand touchpoints including print, digital, fleet vehicles, apparel, and field signage.

A Unified Identity

Longhouse developed a unified identity system for the Heritage Group using a branded house approach to tie all subcompanies together under one visual umbrella. A bold and adaptable H logo inspired by bridge and roofline shapes was created as the foundation.

Built for Scalability

A clean and functional typography system along with a palette of deep blues was applied for consistency across all platforms. At the same time, the website was fully redesigned to showcase their divisions, dive into project detail, and communicate clearly with key audiences including government stakeholders and subcontractors. The new system was built for scalability, clarity, and trust.

The Result

Heritage now operates with a cohesive identity across all divisions and brand touchpoints. Their teams have a reliable way to present who they are and what they do whether in the field, at a meeting, or online.

The new website solves a core communication challenge by offering a platform for storytelling, service detail, and future growth. It supports federal bids, client partnerships, and recruitment efforts with clarity and confidence while positioning Heritage for long-term impact across Alaska and beyond.
