Longhouse Media has recently started working with Golden Beans Accounting which was founded by Beilei who has been in the accounting business for about 12 years.
Beilei is passionate about financial measurement and is all about no guesswork. She gives business owners the clarity they need to make well-supported decisions.
What Beilei loves the most is being able to use her skills into helping local businesses thrive. Her most recent focus is getting businesses to apply for the $10,000+ dollar grants that are available to a number of different people who don’t even know it yet.
Over the last couple months, the Longhouse team worked alongside Beilei to create the vision she had so she could achieve her business goals.
Our goal was to create an easy-to-use and engaging website that held site visitor attention and leading them directly to Beilei and her services through an online booking system.
The Thought Process Behind Our Work

Our Challenge: Creating an Easy-To-Use, Simple Website that Directed Site Users Directly to Beilei.
With Beilei and the specific kind of service that she provides to her customers, a website can not answer all the varying questions one might have.
The best way to direct customers to the right path was to do the following:
- Engage/Intrigue their Initial Attention
- Prove Beilei’s Credibility
- Turn the Visitor into a Customer
When any user first clicks onto any site, they will have an attention span of about 3-10 seconds where they decide whether this is interesting to them and if they want to continue browsing.
Once the site viewer decides that this is interesting enough to continue, you’ll want to prove to them why working with you is the way to go.
The Solution: Intriguing Web Design, Quality Photos, Credible Content and an Efficient Booking System.
Longhouse’s favourite way to create engaging, eye-catching content at the first glance of a site is video headers. Carefully, thought-out video headers, can make the difference of keep or losing that possible customer.
Moving on to credibility. People don’t want to hear you boasting about how great your OWN business is; so let others do the talking for you.
Client testimonials is a great way to show credibility to new people without giving the wrong impression of ‘boasting.’
Along with showing your credibility from past clients/customers, you’ll want to share who your team is. Describing yourself and your team members in a personal way is going to be far more relatable to your customer by adding some of your hobbies and interests into your biography.
Having the staff headshots with the same style, colours and positioning can also make all the difference of looking like a strong, united team!
And of course, having quality photos is the icing on top of it all. We did a photo session with Beilei capturing her in her element so that the site best highlighted the work she did. The bonus of this was that all the photos were consistent throughout the website keeping it clean.
After the site visitor has been given the necessary information, they then reach a call to action button. When the user clicks the ‘Schedule Consultation’ a new interactive page will pop up where you can directly book a phone call conversation with Beilei herself.
